Council is the name under which J.Noel (also of Coyote Bones; Athens, GA) and W.M.Wright (also of Senryu; Knoxville, TN) perform. Council is most often just these two men, but sometimes several more or several less. Council performs a terror-ride of improvised power atmospherics, sampling itself and its surroundings during the performance while also creating new sounds/beats/anti-melodies. Council likes to play in the dark. Council plays in stereo.
Council has performed in [among other spaces] empty warehouses, a city park, basements, houses, art spaces and the Leslie Farms Chicken Sanctuary. Council released three albums in 2009 through CoCoArt Recordings: IOEOTO UUHON, Exoplanetary Destruction, and Kinked Demand : Volume One.
